Great king suite, the bed was comfortable and neat. the location is fantastic for exploring the reef and getting around easily 🌊. It's close to the beach, cafes, and restaurants, as well as a tropical rainforest and the ocean. It's really convenient to go everywhere.

The location was perfect: right on the beach and close to shops and restaurants. The resort was quiet and shady with plenty of space to sit and eat out. Nice little kitchen and bathroom witha great shower and spa bath.
I was surprised to have to pay for the laundry facilities; this wasn't the case in the two previous places I'd stayed in up the coast. No airer or clothes-horse was provided, so there was no choice but to stump up for the drier. Not very eco-friendly :-(

The hotel is set in beautiful rainforest surrounds and is very peaceful. There was no disturbance by other guests and is just 50 meters from the most beautiful sandy beach which was fantastic for long walks with my partner. The spa in our room was also a great additive to a long day on the reef. The self contained kitchens was also a plus.
The bed was hard making it a little bit uncomfortable for me & hard to sleep as I prefer a soft bed as I suffer from circulation problems due to migrains.

Ideal location and fantastic rainforest-like gardens. Balinese style architecture and beautiful pool/spa area. It's like an oasis but just a few steps to restaurants and the beach. This with very friendly and helpful hosts make the Reef Retreat a real gem. We will definately return.

We really liked the location of the Reef Retreat - just off the Palm Cove Esplanade -so out of the beach winds, but close enough to swim at the beach and go to the restaurant strip. We loved our balcony view to the mountains and breezes there. We loved the open plan of the unit - seemed more spacious than it probably was. Nice kitchen to cook our own meals. Clive and Mary were fantastic with their local knowledge, and tour bookings . Great local bus service to supermarket at Clifton Beach. We`d highly recommend the Reef Retreat for a quiet holiday.
Maybe the kitchen could have had an oven, but we managed with stove top and microwave.

Clive was extremely helpful in recommending tours that met our family needs as we met our daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren in Palm Cove. We only spent one night at The Reef Retreat because we rented a house for one week. If we ever return to Palm Cove, we will definitely stay here again.
